An Exciting Homecoming
We are remounting the show at Bindlestiff Studio. This is where it all started for me and Mommy Queerest. Bindlestiff Studio is the first theater and community to embrace me in San Francisco and has inspired my creative development since 2005. Bindlestiff Studio is the first and only theater space in the country dedicated to cultivating Filipino American artists, and I am only one of many artists homegrown on Sixth Street. Now it’s time to give back. It’s only proper.
The Rumor is True
This two-night special engagement is a fundraiser for Stories High XIV, Bindlestiff Studio’s longest running program. In addition, a portion of the ticket sales will help bring Mommy Queerest to Philadelphia in October. The rumor is true. We are so honored to announce that Mommy Queerest has been selected to be showcased at the 4th National Asian American Theater Conferencetaking place in Philadelphia, October, 2014!
Before I hit the road, catch the two-night quickie of Mommy Queeerest:
There is another exciting opportunity to catch me perform at CalShakes Fridays in the Grove on September 5th. CalShakes ain’t ready, but I know you are.
We are incredibly honored to announce that we booked our first residency at The Theater Offensive in Boston for two weeks April 2015.
More details to come in next month’s newsletter.
Thank you for your continued support. It takes a village to send an emerging artist across the country.
